This Sunday marks one of the most historic moments in boxing’s rich history. An era defining fight between two undefeated phenoms in Errol Spence Jr (28-0) and Terence Crawford (39-0) as they battle for undisputed welterweight supremacy. Who walks away the winner and undisputed champion is anyone’s guess with both fighters being so evenly matched. The hard-core boxing fan would argue that this fight has higher stakes and bigger implications for boxings history than Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao, back in 2015.

One man who knows a thing or two about the world of boxing and what this fight between Spence and Crawford means to this generations fans, is the voice of Australian boxing, Ben Damon. Speaking in an interview with From The Stands, Ben gave his thoughts to the mouth watering contest.

“Terence Crawford is freakish. The way that he switches, what he manages to do in the ring is just quiet incredible. Errol Spence has only fought a couple times in recent years, he’s had as many fights as he has had serious car accidents. I’m sure this is a fight where whatever way it goes, we’re going to have people say after the fact that there was a reason that is happened that way”

Ben went on to give his thoughts on who he’d like to see walk away the welterweight king:

“It does feel like Terence Crawford is a favourite and he deserves to be a favourite in this fight. I think its a fight where you wouldn’t be surprised know matter what happens. I think I’d probably like to see Spence win, I know he’s got a feud going with Tim Tszyu. But that aside, I do like the way he fights and the way he conducts himself in general”

We are now just two days away from the most anticipated undisputed title fight in history. Two kings will collide come midday Sunday (Australian Time) with only one being able to walk away and call themselves undisputed. Will the quickness and elusive movement of Terence Crawford be enough to secure victory, or will the size and strength advantage for Spence be too much for Crawford to handle. Enjoy the fights!
