Reports have been circulating surrounding the apparent mega fight between one of the sports P4P fighters Terence Crawford and the man who has taken Australian Boxing to new heights, WBO super welterweight champion, Tim Tszyu.

A prosed fight between Crawford and Tszyu has been talked about seriously since the beginning of 2024. With Crawford being the WBO welterweight champion if he were to move up to super welterweight he would automatically become the mandatory for Tszyu’s WBO belt. A fight that Tszyu has been calling for since his destruction of Carlos Ocampo on the Gold Coast, last June.

However No Limit Boxing CEO and promoter of Tim Tszyu, George Rose believes the fight may have to wait and might not happen in 2024.

Speaking with From The Stands reporter Josh Betar, Rose revealed that he believes the fight could take longer to happen, which is something an active Tszyu won’t wait around for.

“I’d love to see it, but I don’t think it’ll happen in 2024. Tim’s an active guy, Tim’s an active fighter and for him to have to wait nine months for a fight, that’s just not in him he just doesn’t like it.

Rose went on to say:

“So for Tim I do think it’s a fight that will happen. If Crawford comes up, because he’s the WBO champion that makes him the automatic mandatory for Tim so he’d have to fight crawford and that’s a fight that we’d love to have”

Whilst Tszyu has his sights set on Keith Thurman on March 30th, you can’t help but be completely enthralled by the possibility of a Terence Crawford vs. Tim Tszyu match up. An established once in a generation fighter like Terence Crawford going up against a Tim Tszyu who has most definitely proved he belongs. Along with a chance to cement himself in boxing’s rich history and become the first man to defeat the great Terence Crawford
