We are now one month removed from the stacked UFC 298 PPV in Anaheim, California. An incredible night of fights which saw a changing of the guard in the main event where Ilia Topuria slayed Alexander Volkanovski to become the new UFC Featherweight champion.

One fighter in particular who stole the show that night was the former undisputed UFC middleweight champion and no.3 ranked UFC middleweight, Robert Whittaker.

That night, Whittaker defeated no.7 ranked Paulo Costa in a very much back and forth fight which saw Whittaker steal the latter rounds and come away victorious. Now it seems the man known as ‘the reaper’ is ready to make his return to the octagon and if it goes to Whittaker’s plans, it’ll be on Australian soil.

Speaking in an interview with From The Stands, Whittaker detailed his intentions to fight in Australia, later this year.

“The only thing that I’m sure of is that I want to fight in August. I want to fight in Perth.

Many MMA pundits and media alike have speculated that the UFC will once again make its return down under for 2024 with the front runner being Perth.

After an extremely successful PPV card last February for UFC 284, it’s no wonder the UFC would be clambering to get back to Perth.

Along with the verbal confirmation of Whittakers attendance, if UFC 305 is indeed in Perth, it’ll shape up to be one of the hottest PPV cards of the year!
