The UFC returns to the UFC apex this Sunday (AEST) for an exciting Featherweight Main Event as surging prospect Lerone Murphy, takes on former title contender Edson Barboza.

Headlining the ESPN + prelims is Australian UFC lightweight Tom Nolan, who is looking to get his first win inside the UFC’s octagon after coming up short in his debut against heavy hitting Nikolas Motta, back in Janurary.

For the 24 year old, Brisbane based UFC lightweight, it seems as though he has opted for a throwback look for his fight with Victor Martinez. Nolan will rock a shaved head for the first time in over two years when he steps into the octagon on Sunday.

Whilst a shaved head may be insignificant to some, Nolan revealed to From The Stands reporter, Josh Betar that there is in fact a reason for his throwback look ahead of Sunday. “

“Yeah the last time I shaved my head, I had something pretty bad happen in my life and I came out and had a really good fight. So I thought you know what lets bring that back. I’ve only done it, I think this will be the third time and the other two times have been really successful so yeah I think it’s gonna be good”

Nolan will be looking to assert himself prominently within the UFC’s lightweight division with a big win on Sunday. Nolan will headline the ESPN + prelims and should be making the ring walk around 9:30am (AEST)
